Durable Labels for Any Condition
Not only do you expect high quality, eye-catching food labels, but you also expect them to be durable in a number of conditions. We’re very aware of the demanding life of a food label which is why we work with only the hardiest materials to ensure your label is kept legible and looking sharp no matter whether it’s faced with rain, ice, frost or high temperatures.
This means no more wrinkles from condensation, fading under harsh store lighting or losing adhesion in extreme temperatures.
We meet current food labelling legislation
The current legislation for printed food labels includes being:
- Clear and easy to read
- Easy to understand
- Easily visible
- Not misleading
It’s also mandatory to show basic information and a list of ingredients as well as any relevant warnings.
We’ve worked closely with food manufacturers for 20 years so we understand exactly what is required to ensure your food labels meet existing legislation. Important information such as the ingredient list, sell-by date, allergens, nutritional information and price will all be legible, clean and clear regardless of the size of your packaging.
Labelnet are ISO 9001 and BRC Packaging compliant, so you can be confident in the fact our team of experts are highly trained in understanding the newest legislation as soon as they come into action.
Frozen Food Labels
Frozen food labels go far beyond just looking attractive. They also have to be able to withstand freezing temperatures, whilst also clearly displaying any required information.
Our labels for frozen conditions are able to withstand a temperature of -40°C, making them suitable for all types of freezer conditions.
It’s vital that your frozen food labels are doing their job properly, outlining vital information such as cooking temperature, allergens and ingredients. We understand the importance of having these details legible to all not only for the safety of your customers but also to meet legislation.
Materials and finishes for frozen food labels
Our frozen food labels are manufactured using coated gloss papers and coated thermal materials as well as a frost-resistant adhesive to ensure your label stays put and legible even in extreme, freezing temperatures as low as -40°C. Suitable for a wide range of freezer conditions, our frozen food labels can be supplied equipped with batch codes, best before dates and barcodes. We’re also able to guarantee that even the smallest of print can be easily read in a variety of colours for products ranging from frozen yoghurts, ice-cream and ready meals, using inks of exceptional quality.
Chilled Food Labels
The key requirement for chilled food labels is the durability and suitability of the adhesive. Our food labels for chilled products are therefore designed to withstand temperatures ranging from 0 to 8ºC, keeping them in pristine shape and of the highest quality in the low temperatures. Having worked with chilled food manufacturers for 20 years we’ve gained experience in providing food labels for a variety of products including cheeses, cold meats, fruit and veg, savoury snacks, deli foods, fresh soups, ready meals, sandwiches and desserts.
